The Akamai Approach to Packaging
The words “wise” and “intelligent” also apply to their packaging which we were selected to make for them. The photos included in this post show a basic one color on Kraft exterior and an eye catching one color print inside.
The graphics are simple, yet effective, and they prove once again that you do not have to use a variety of colors or a lot of ink coverage to create a positive unboxing experience for your customers.
Inside Print Makes a Big Difference
Subscription box and E-commerce companies have learned that an outside print is good. This Akamai box would still be a nice box even if the inside print was eliminated. However, we remind people that outside print is often dominated by the shipping label, especially on a small box like this.
The inside of the box will always arrive clean and is a great place to reinforce your brand and deliver the message you want. Anything from a simple thank you or a sales pitch for additional products can be easily and inexpensively added to the inside of any shipping box.
