When you look at the cut edge of any corrugated box, even on a double white box that is white inside and outside, you see a brown inner layer called the fluting or medium. That brown center layer is perfectly fine and acceptable for most applications but there are situations where a pure, triple white board can make the difference between an attractive box and a fantastic box. Visually, it makes a big difference when that medium is white as well, creating a box with a cleaner look.
This whiter/brighter look can be very appealing in certain industries including pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, eye wear, dental care, food, lingerie and feminine hygiene products. It also tends to make colors “pop” so your graphics and printing will be enhanced as well.
Obviously, the cost for triple white board is higher compared to double white board. How much higher depends on the size of the box and the quantity being ordered. Also, for a specialty board design like this, the minimum will vary but is usually 3,000 or more boxes. If any of that sounds complicated, don’t worry, our branded packaging advisors can answer any questions and help you determine if triple white is possible and beneficial for your application. A quick visit to our gallery will show you our ability to make D2C, ecommerce boxes with maximum impact at minimal cost.
